Arbor.tect

Arbor.tect is an innovative, client-focused, collaborative architecture studio which is looking towards future possibilities of a carbon neutral built environment, rather than to recent precedent with inherent heavy carbon footprints. We are seeking to develop a new architectural language of beauty and warmth, along with a revolutionary way of building our cities, which can transform the built environment from one of degradation and depletion, to something which is climate neutral, inclusive and in sync with the natural world

The studio is led by Jonathan Evans, a registered architect with 30 years of experience in designing beautiful buildings, which positively contribute to both the user experience and the public domain. He has pioneered the use of mass timber construction for large commercial projects and has successfully demonstrated the viability and desirability of such projects

Arbor.tect works across a wide range of project types, including: private homes with scale ranging from modular ‘tiny houses’, eco-retreats and family compounds; bespoke multi-res developments; commercial projects and workplaces; hospitality, cultural and educational facilities

Jonathan’s Qualifications: Master of Design Science (Sustainable Design) _ Bachelor of Architecture (Honours 1) _ Bachelor of Science (Architecture) _ Registered Architect # 6613

Formerly Jonathan was Partner, Design Director and Timber Technology Lead of Sydney architectural practice Tzannes _ 1997 to 2021
